Our philosophy is simple - we make the children feel loved and the activities fun! We believe education begins at birth and the learning that can take place should be beyond our expectations.  We believe each child should be treated as an individual with unique talents, strengths and learning styles. Our goal is to provide a safe & loving environment that will introduce your child to challenges and activities that awaken their senses and spark imagination.  Our curriculum will build character, self-worth, and compassion for others.  Great Expectations Preparatory Academy is committed to working with parents to ensure the program is a natural continuum in the family’s life as well as a resource for the community.

Great Expectations Prep Academy recognizes the value of a developmentally appropriate preschool program that focuses on the growth of the whole child.   Our administration has committed its resources and expertise to provide a sound framework from which teachers may organize and plan an active, nurturing and safe learning environment for young children.
The goal of our preschool program is to provide our youngest learners with the necessary foundation for future academic success and social development.  The early years of a child’s life provide a unique opportunity to prepare them to learn, to develop character and to instill a sense of pride and hope by addressing their cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs.

At Great Expectations Prep Academy, we are committed to creating an educational atmosphere that makes coming here an exciting experience, each and every day. Each classroom is equipped with developmentally appropriate toys and materials. Our programs are intended to empower students to tackle challenges and take on experiences that may be new to them, while keeping learning fun and dynamic. Classrooms have mini dramatic play doctors offices with real working medical equipment. Mini kitchens that resemble home life with realistic food props.  Each month the school is transformed based upon themes children adore and have interest in. Our children may walk in to see a 6ft dinosaur skeleton during our Paleontology theme or the backdrop to NASA’s Space Center during our Blast Off theme!

Our Environment

Covid-19 Safety Procedures

The health & safety of our students is our highest priority. We are going past the State of TN & the CDC’s recommendations and incorporated additional measures to help keep us safe. The CDC recommends masks for everyone over 2, limiting visitors and lowering group sizes. In addition to this, we have daily sanitizing fogging once children have left for the day, air purifiers in every classroom and touchless soap dispensers and trash cans. Temperatures and general health questions are also checked twice daily and recorded in our communication app. We have weekly professional deep cleaning every weekend as well.
